Objective of the Game
Collect five cards of the same donkey character and shout “BOZO!” to win the round.
- Age: 4–99
- Number of Players: 3–10
- Duration: 5–10 minutes (varies by player count)
- Select as many donkey characters as there are players.
- Take five cards of each selected character to form the deck.
- Shuffle the cards thoroughly.
- Deal five cards to each player.
- The game proceeds counterclockwise.
- Each round follows this sequence:
- “PLACE!” — Everyone places a card face down in front of them.
- “SLIDE!” — Cards are slid to the player on the right.
- “FLIP!” — Cards are revealed.
- The player who collects five cards of the same donkey character shouts “BOZO!”
- Upon hearing the shout, all players place their hands in the center of the table.
- The player whose hand ends up on top loses the round and receives a letter from the word BOZO:
- First loss: B
- Second loss: O
- Third loss: Z
- Fourth loss: O
- The player who completes the word BOZO (loses four times) is eliminated.
- The player with the fewest letters wins the game.
