How to Play?
Objective of the Game
Rescue your lambs by finding matching pairs! But beware: the player left holding the wolf card at the end loses!
Game Setup
- Shuffle the cards thoroughly.
- Deal all cards to players one by one.
- Play begins with the player to the left of the dealer and continues clockwise.
- Each player secretly checks their cards.
- Players place any matching lamb pairs face-up in front of them.
- They say “Baaa!” to announce the rescue of their lambs.
- On their turn, a player:
- Draws one card from the player to their right.
- Secretly checks the drawn card.
- If they have a matching pair, they place it face-up in front of them.
- Say “Baaa!” and pass the turn to the player on their left.
- A player holding a Lamb Herd card:
- May use it at any time during their turn.
- Is not required to use it immediately and may hold onto it.
- When they choose to use it:
- Show the card to all players,
- Place it face-up in the center,
- Secretly give one card from their hand to a player of their choice.
- Secretly gives it to the player on their left,
- Leaves the game as a winner.
- All lambs are paired and rescued — the game ends.
- The player left with the wolf card howls “Awooo!” and loses.
- Track Carefully: Keep an eye on how many cards each player holds. It helps you guess who might have the wolf.
- Save the Lamb Herd: Holding onto this card until the right moment can help you escape the wolf.
- Observe Closely: Watch how many pairs each player has rescued. Those with fewer pairs may be holding the wolf.
- Plan Ahead: Make sure your last card isn’t the wolf — or you’ll have no way out!
- Play without the wolf card — the first to complete all pairs wins.
- Play without the Lamb Herd card.
- Play in teams so older players can help younger ones.
